When comparing colour and monochrome laser printers, pros and cons follow a similar pattern found in printers of any competing technology e.g. inkjets. Colour printers are more complex in design and use additional consumables when compared to monochrome printers. As a result, colour laser printers tend to be:

Is there any way to increase print speed?
For both colour and monochrome laser printers: try reducing the print quality setting from High → Medium → Low
Colour printers: remember they have the ability to print faster in monochrome mode. - More bulky, heavier and with a larger footprint.
